By following these steps, you'll be able to create a new Web3 wallet and start using Comet to store and transact with cryptocurrencies.

Step 1: Open the Comet browser extension

Before you create a new wallet, make sure to have the Comet browser extension installed.

  1. Launch your Google Chrome browser.

  2. Locate the Comet icon in the top bar of your browser.

  3. Click on the Comet icon to open the Comet browser extension.

Step 2: Create a new wallet

  1. Once the Comet browser extension is open, you will see the Comet main screen.

  2. On the main screen, locate and click on the "Create new wallet" button.

Step 3: Set your wallet details

  1. While creating your wallet, you'll need to choose a wallet name and enter a secure password.

  2. Additionally, you'll receive your unique seed phrase, which is a series of words that acts as a backup for your wallet. It's crucial to keep your seed phrase safe and secure, as it can be used to restore your wallet in case of loss or device change.

  3. Take your time to choose a strong password

  4. Make sure to store your seed phrase in a secure location.

  5. Once you have chosen a wallet name, set a password and securely saved your seed phrase, click on the "Verify wallet details" button.

Step 4: Verify your seed phrase

  1. Next, you will be prompted to confirm that you have correctly saved your seed phrase.

  2. You will be randomly asked to provide four words from your seed phrase.

  3. Carefully enter the requested words in the provided input fields.

  4. Make sure to double-check the accuracy of the words you enter.

  5. Once you have entered the four words, click on the "I'm ready, create my wallet" button.

Step 5: Access your new wallet

  1. Congratulations! Your new wallet has been successfully created.

  2. You can now access your wallet at any time through the Comet browser extension.

  3. Simply click on the Comet icon in the top bar of your Google Chrome browser to open the extension and access your wallet with the password you've set.
